Teenagers should be allowed to choose their own clothes
一、 知识目标
1.本单元在英语表达上以be allowed to 结构贯穿始终,这一结构的运用是我们学习本单元内容的主要任务,灵活运用这一结构来表达人们的各种追求,观点是我们学习的主要目标。对finish,allow,choose,need, clean up等高频词汇以及由how often引起的疑问句的运用和掌握也是本单元的主要内容。能够谈论应该做和不应该做的事情。能够谈论应该被允许做和不应该被允许做的事情。能够针对被允许做和不被允许做的事情发表自己观点。通过本单元的学习,能够叙述同意或不同意。能够根据要求制定规章制度。
2、语言目标
(1) 掌握以下词汇
allow、 pierce 、silly 、stay up、driver’s license
(2)能够在交流中运用句型:
I think sixteen-year-olds should be allowed to choose their own clothes 。
I disagree。 I think they are too young 。
Do you think sixteen-year –olds should be allowed to have part-time job ?
Yes,I do。 No,I don’t .
Sixteen-year-olds should not be allowed to drive .
I agree. They aren’t serious enough at that age.
3、语法功能
情态动词的被动语态的运用:should be done,can be done ,may be done ,must be done,could be done。
二. 学习策略
通过集体讨论或辩论的形式,谈论一下学校制度或家庭制度,已达到练习允许和被允许的用法。
三. 情感目标
了解反思自己的日常行为是否符合中学生日常行为规范。通过谈论能够增强自觉遵守各项规定的意识,做文明守纪的好学生。作为学生,对什么该做,什么不该做应做到心中有数。对一些社会现象也应该有极强的判断能力和正义感。
四. 教学流程
i. Warming-up
教师活动:(1)要求同学四人一组谈论自己在家里允许做的事情和不允许做的事情。
(2) 学生讨论哪些事情应该被允许做和不应该被允许做。
Teacher;Different families have different rules at home。Please tell your group members what you should do or should not do at home。Then tell them what you are allowed to do or not allowed to do at home。
学生活动:
(1) 以四人一组开展此项活动。
(2) 与本组学生交流自己在家时哪些事情是应该做的哪些事情是不应该做的。
(3) 与本组学生讨论哪些事情是应该被允许做的哪些事情是不应该被允许做的。
(4) 各组汇报大家认为应该被允许做的和不应该被允许做的事情。
设计意图:通过小组谈论使学生学会表达被允许做的事情和不被允许做的事情。
并学会表达应该被允许做的和不应该被允许做的事情。使学生增强遵守规定的意识。

教师活动:
(1)要求小组每一位成员提出一条家长不允许自己做的事可自己却认为应该可以做的事,并提出自己的理由.
(2)巡回指导.解难释疑.
(3)放听力2a,2b, 并让学生发表自己的观点,表明同意和不同意.
学生活动:
(1)写出青年人应该被允许做的,可家长不允许做的事

(3)与同伴讨论自己的想法,听听同伴的观点,总结出大家认为应该被允许做的事情.

(5)把大家讨论的结果写下来,讲给自己的父母听,加强和父母的沟通
(6)听2a,2b的内容,. 发表自己的观点,画出同意和不同意
(7)两人练习,一问一答。

(1)学生读3a,听3a,并根据3a回答问题,并写出SUN HUI 和WU YU的家规.
(2)认真听讲,做好笔记,掌握So do we 这一结构的运用.
(3)小组合作,运用So do we这一结构进行造句练习,

教师活动:
(1)要求学生根据学校或班级现在的规章制度,谈谈自己的看法并说明理由。
(2)当好评委,评出优胜小组。
学生活动:
(1) 以小组为单位,写出现在班级或学校的规章制度。
(2) 对这些规章制度,发表自己的看法,同时说明理由。
(3) 学生可补充说明制度中没有提到的被允许做和不被允许做的事情,并说明理由。
(4) 整理出新的班规或校规。
